Your name and address must all be clearly stated on the back of each
photo or on your covering email. If you are 16 or under, please tell us
your age. Please also tell us where and when the photo was taken.
The competition will close on 31st
December 2008. Judging will take place in January. The winners will be
chosen during January 2009 and the list of winners will be published in
the Solway Buzz. All entries will be judged by a panel of judges
selected by STAG (Silloth Tourism Action Group) and the Solway Buzz.
No entries can be returned and proof of
posting is not proof of receipt. The organisers accept no responsibility
for entries lost, damaged or delayed in the post or by email.
All entries must be the original work
of the entrant and must not infringe the rights of any other party. The
entrants must be the sole owner of copyright in all photographs entered
and must have obtained permission of any people featured in the entries
or their parents/guardians if children under 16 are featured. Further,
entrants must not have breached any laws when taking their photographs.
Prior to submission, entrants must not have offered any of their entries
for sale, been paid for any publication of any of their entries or won
or been a runner up in any other photographic competition with any of
their entries. Entrants will retain copyright in the photographs. By
entering the competition all entrants grant to the Solway Buzz and STAG
the right to publish and exhibit their photographs as they see fit.
While we will make every effort to credit photographers, we cannot
guarantee that every use of the photographs will include photographers'
names.
If the winners are unable to be
contacted after reasonable attempts have been made, we reserves the
right to either offer the prize to a runner up or to re-offer the prize
in any future competition.
We may request an original size digital
file or original negative of your work for promotional purposes. The
organisers regret they cannot accept any liability for the unauthorised
duplication or use of images displayed on this website or in the Solway
Buzz.
By submitting images to this
competition, each entrant confirms that:
a) they are the sole author of each entry and that it is their original
work;
b) they own the copyright and any other intellectual property rights of
each image;
c) they have the permission of those pictured in the image (or, where
the image shows any persons under 18, the consent of their
parent/guardian) for the usage rights required by clause 4 and will
indemnify us against any claims made by any third parties in respect of
such infringement;
d) they have not licensed or disposed of any rights in the image that
would conflict with uses to be made by us.
